Nestled on gentle south facing slopes near the historic Kent village of Hawkinge, We produce a small handmade selection of fine still and sparkling wines, each vintage unique in taste and character. Our vineyard has 5,500 vines with cultivars Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Rondo and Dornfelder.

All aspects of the winemaking process use traditional methods, from handpicking the grapes, to riddling the sparkling wines in traditional pupitres and disgorging. This hands-on approach means each and every wine is made with oodles of heart, with a clear focus on quality and taste.

In terms of location, Terlingham Vineyard is the perfect spot to make sparkling wines. The gentle slope of our south facing vineyard provides good drainage for our vines, and the chalky soil makes our vines work that little bit harder when they’re pushing down their roots, making for stronger vines and more delicious grapes. The gentle climate (which we share with the Champagne region in France) is also essential to the terroir that allows us to create these truly wonderful, delicate wines.

We invite you (by appointment only) to come and visit us, taste our wines and discover a newfound appreciation for delightful fine English wines. We host walks in the vineyard and Terlingham wine tastings for up to 20 guests at a time.
